Daniel Toll Conde

1807 — 1897

Born in Charlton, New York; graduated from Auburn Theological Seminary, Massachusetts, in 1834; sailed to Hawai‘i in 1836 with wife, Andelucia, members of Eighth Company of ABCFM missionaries; stationed at Hana, Maui, 1838–48, and Wailuku, Maui, 1848–56; pastor of church that Jonathan Napela attended; following his wife’s death, left Hawai‘i and returned to U.S. in 1856; preached in Schenectady, New York, and Indianapolis, Indiana, prior to marrying Hannah Rice Williams in 1864; subsequently moved to Beloit, Wisconsin, where he lived the remainder of his life.
