Ann [commonly referred to as Anne or Annie by GQC] Cannon

1832– 1921

Younger sister of GQC; born in Liverpool, England, to George and Ann Cannon; mother died at sea while family was en route from England to U.S. in 1842; following death of her father in Nauvoo, Illinois, in 1844, moved in with John and Leonora Taylor along with GQC; immigrated with them to Salt Lake City in 1847 and made her home with them there; married Orin N. Woodbury in 1853; helped settle St. George, Utah, in 1861, where she lived until her death; leading figure in silk industry in Utah; served twenty-one years in St. George Stake Relief Society presidency, including ten years as president.
