Born 19 Oct. 1893 in Spokane, Spokane Co., Washington.[1] Son of Barrymore Nugent Hillard and Verona May Woods.[2] Great-grandson of EBW.[3] Attended Stanford University, in Stanford, Santa Clara Co., California, 1913–1915.[4] Married first Hester Araninta Baker, 25 Dec. 1916, in San Francisco.[5] Attended Northwestern University, in Evanston, Cook Co., Illinois, 1917–1918.[6] Divorced, after 1930; married second Catherine M. Hansen, 7 Feb. 1936, in Los Angeles.[7] Registered for the World War II draft, 27 Apr. 1942.[8] Died 5 Jan. 1947 in Los Angeles.[9]
