Winnifred Blanche Woodruff

9 April 1876–8 April 1954

Born 9 Apr. 1876 in Salt Lake City.[1] Daughter of Wilford Woodruff and Emma Smith Smoot.[2] Baptized as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by Wilford Woodruff, 29 June 1884.[3] Attended a party with her family and EBW, 29 May 1894.[4] Founding member of the Amity Club, 12 May 1895.[5] Married Joseph J. Daynes Jr., 18 Dec. 1895; nine children.[6] Served a mission with her husband to Great Britain, 1899–1901.[7] Visited EBW, 29 Oct. 1903.[8] Served as an aid on the Granite Stake Relief Society board, 1906–1922, in Salt Lake City; as first counselor in the stake Relief Society presidency, 1925–1926; and as stake Relief Society president, 1927–1933.[9] Joined the women’s suffrage movement and attended a suffrage meeting with EBW, 12 May 1916.[10] Attended a Daughters of Utah Pioneers ball with EBW, 22 Feb. 1919.[11] Served as an officer in the Daughters of the American Revolution, Utah chapter, beginning 17 Feb. 1929.[12] Served with her husband while he served as mission president of the Western States mission, 1933–1937.[13] Died 8 Apr. 1954 in Salt Lake City.[14]
