Susan Annette Wells
Born 28 Nov. 1857 in Salt Lake City.[1] Daughter of Daniel Hamner Wells and Susan Hannah Alley.[2] Baptized as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 15 Aug. 1865.[3] Married Henry Lavendar Adophus Culmer, a noted Utah artist, 31 Dec. 1878, in Salt Lake City; four children.[4] Attended temple sessions annually with family members in memory of Daniel H. Wells following his death in 1891.[5] Attended a Women’s Suffrage Association executive committee meeting with EBW and May Wells Whitney, 14 Feb. 1894.[6] Elected as treasurer of the Cleofan, a women’s group interested in studying art, literature, and history, 1906.[7] Represented the Copper Bank in the Red Cross drive to aid former servicemen and their families, 18 Nov. 1920, in Salt Lake City.[8] Died 21 Nov. 1929 in Salt Lake City.[9]
