Nabbie Howe Young

22 March 1852–15 March 1894

Born 22 Mar. 1852 in Salt Lake City.[1] Daughter of Brigham Young and Clarissa Decker.[2] Baptized as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1860.[3] Attended the University of Deseret, 1868–1871.[4] Married Orson Spencer Clawson, 15 Feb. 1876; seven children.[5] Committee member of the Thanksgiving Eve Ball, 1888.[6] Reception committee member for the Deseret Hospital Ball fundraiser, Nov. 1891.[7] Member of the Salt Lake City Eighteenth Ward, 1891–1892.[8] Member of the Pickwick Society, 1893.[9] Attended the World’s Columbian Exposition in Chicago, July 1893.[10] Reception committee member for the Legislative Ball, Feb. 1894.[11] Died 15 Mar. 1894 from complications of childbirth one week after her baby’s death.[12]
