Manson Jesse Woodward

21 April 1821–19 July 1897

Born 21 Apr. 1821 in Petersham, Worcester Co., Massachusetts.[1] Son of David Woodward and Diadama Hare.[2] Brother of EBW.[3] Married first Nancy Kidder, 22 May 1839, at Athol, Worchester Co.[4] Supervisor of a factory for carriage and coaches, 1840.[5] Moved to Illinois, between 1848 and 1849.[6] Separated from wife, before 1849.[7] Married second Fanny Belinda Abell, 10 June 1849.[8] Lived throughout the midwestern U.S. before settling in Kansas City, Missouri.[9] Worked as a saloon keeper, 1860.[10] Worked as a harness maker, 1870.[11] Presumably visited by EBW when she was in Atchison, Atchison Co., Kansas, Oct. 1882.[12] Died 19 July 1897 in Kansas City.[13] Buried in Atchison, 20 July 1898.[14]
