Born 14 Aug. 1842 in Hardwick, Worcester Co., Massachusetts.[1] Son of Henry H. Granger and Lucy M. Woodward, sister of EBW.[2] Served for ten years in the military, rising to the rank of colonel, 1861; thereafter became a prosperous businessman, 1871–1889.[3] Married first Carrie Pearson, 16 Mar. 1865, in New Orleans.[4] Wife died; married second Lettie A. Thorndike, 25 Nov. 1870, in New York City.[5] Married third Mamie Decker, 15 Feb. 1872, in Salt Lake City.[6] Visited with EBW in Salt Lake City, 1875, 1881.[7] Divorced; married fourth Jennie C. Niles, 30 Sept. 1880, in Troy, Rensselaer Co., New York.[8] Divorced; married fifth Elizabeth Rickerby, 24 Oct. 1882, in New York City.[9] Married sixth Nellie Mabel Angell, 14 Aug. 1888, in Milwaukee.[10] Died 30 Apr. 1899 in Hardwick.[11]
