Born 1 Nov. 1825 in New Salem, Franklin Co., Massachusetts.1 Daughter of Ashebel Green Haskell and Azula (Ursulia) Hastings.2 Childhood friend and schoolmate of EBW.3 Along with EBW, baptized as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1 Mar. 1842, at New Salem.4 Married Francis Martin Pomeroy, 13 July 1844; eight children.5 Moved to Nauvoo, Hancock Co., Illinois, before Feb. 1846.6 Migrated to the Salt Lake Valley with the Abraham O. Smoot and George B. Wallace pioneer company, arriving 29 Sept. 1847.7 Died 13 June 1860 in the home of EBW of complications from a hand amputation resulting from an injury.8
