Born 1 Nov. 1825 in New Salem, Franklin Co., Massachusetts.[1] Daughter of Ashebel Green Haskell and Azula (Ursulia) Hastings.[2] Childhood friend and schoolmate of EBW.[3] Along with EBW, baptized as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1 Mar. 1842, at New Salem.[4] Married Francis Martin Pomeroy, 13 July 1844; eight children.[5] Moved to Nauvoo, Hancock Co., Illinois, before Feb. 1846.[6] Migrated to the Salt Lake Valley with the Abraham O. Smoot and George B. Wallace pioneer company, arriving 29 Sept. 1847.[7] Died 13 June 1860 in the home of EBW of complications from a hand amputation resulting from an injury.[8]
