Henry Richmond Allen

Born 12 June 1869 at Aurora, Kane Co., Illinois.[1] Son of Stephen Thompson Allen and Sarah Elizabeth Martin.[2] Surveyed for the Northern Pacific Railroad, 1888, in Murray, Shoshone Co., Idaho Territory.[3] Moved to Wallace, Shoshone Co., by 1890.[4] Financed and managed various mining operations in Idaho, Washington, and California, 1890–1930.[5] Met EBW when he sang with her granddaughter Daisie Dean Dunford Woods, 22 Aug. 1892.[6] Married Daisie Dean Dunford Woods, 12 Dec. 1892, at Wallace.[7] Sent letters and gifts to EBW, 1894–1904.[8] EBW visited with his family, 1896–1916.[9] Moved to Spokane, Spokane Co., Washington, 1900.[10] Moved back to Wallace, 1911.[11] Sued by Mathilda Cardoner over her interest in the Hercules Mine, Mar. 1917; complaint dismissed and rehearing denied, 3 Dec. 1919.[12] Moved to Sierra Madre, Los Angeles Co., California, 1921.[13] Died 19 Nov. 1940 at Sierra Madre; buried in Spokane.[14]
