Born 1 Oct. 1848 in Crawfordsville, Montgomery Co., Indiana.[1] Son of George Snyder and Mary Love Scott.[2] Moved to Southwark, Philadelphia Co., Pennsylvania, by 1850.[3] Married first Carrie Louisa Granger, 1 Oct. 1874, in Bavaria, Saline Co., Kansas; two children.[4] Wife died; married second Jennie Golden, 3 June 1900, in Chicago.[5] While in Chicago, EBW visited with him at the Wells Fargo Express office, where he was the chief auditor, Apr. 1900.[6] During another visit from EBW, discussed arrangements for the cremation of his mother-in-law, Lucy Hewlings, sister of EBW, 26 Feb. 1901.[7] Visited by EBW again in Chicago, Mar. and Apr. 1901, Mar. 1902.[8] Died 3 Mar. 1908 in Chicago.[9]
