Emma Whitney Sears

1 January 1878–25 September 1947

Born 1 June 1878 at Salt Lake City.[1] Daughter of Septimus Wagstaff Sears and Isabel Modalena Whitney.[2] Granddaughter of EBW.[3] Married John Gillette Roberts, 4 Aug. 1899, in Salt Lake City; two children.[4] Lived in Detroit, 1899–1908.[5] Visited by EBW when she was in Chicago, 1903.[6] Husband earned a law degree from John Marshall Law School, Purdue University, 1908.[7] Lived in Dobbs Ferry, Westchester Co., New York, 1911–1947.[8] Traveled to Europe with her daughter Ruth, 1923.[9] Died 25 Sept. 1947 in White Plains, Westchester Co.[10]
