Eliza Jane Woods
Born 10 Feb. 1843 at Burlington, Muscatine Co., Iowa Territory.[1] Daughter of James Westin Woods and Catherine Chapin Wells.[2] Niece of Daniel H. Wells and EBW.[3] Taught school, summer 1862, in Iowa.[4] Migrated to Utah Territory, spring 1872.[5] Married to Charles Edward Wallin by the Right Reverend Daniel S. Tuttle, the first Episcopal Bishop of Utah, 31 Oct. 1872, in Salt Lake City; four children.[6] Family socialized with EBW.[7] EBW attended her during her illness, death, and funeral preparations.[8] Died from complications of childbirth, 3 Aug. 1881. Buried with her baby in the Salt Lake Cemetery, 5 Aug. 1881.[9]
