Constance Georgina Louise de Bourbel

28 March 1838–23 September 1910

Born 28 Mar. 1838 at Florence, Tuscany, Italy.[1] Daughter of Auguste Harold de Bourbel and Constance Cecilia Bulkley.[2] Parents died when she was a child.[3] Sent to England to live with her maternal aunt’s family, by 1841.[4] Married Charles Wachtmeister, 15 Aug. 1863, at Wargrave, Berkshire, England; one child.[5] Lived in Denmark and Sweden during her husband’s service with the government, 1863–1871.[6] Joined the Theosophical Society, 1881.[7] Founder, manager, and writer for the Theosophical Publication Society of London, 1891–1899.[8] Lectured and organized branches of the Theosophical Society throughout the world, 1894–1910.[9] Met with EBW in Salt Lake City, 1894.[10] Delivered a short message and answered questions at the Women’s Press Club, 30 June 1894.[11] Died 23 Sept. 1910 at Los Angeles.[12]
