Anna Seegmiller

31 January 1841–18 September 1931

Born 31 Jan. 1841 at Goderich, Huron Co., Upper Canada.[1] Daughter of Adam Seegmiller and Anna Eva Knechtel.[2] Married first John McCulloch, 18 Apr. 1860, in Stratford, Perth Co., Province of Canada; five children.[3] Migrated to Salt Lake City, arriving 2 Apr. 1872.[4] Baptized as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by Thomas Higgs, 6 June 1872, in Salt Lake City.[5] Moved to St. George, Washington Co., Utah Territory, under the direction of Brigham Young, 1872.[6] Divorced, fall 1873.[7] Married second Amos Milton Musser, 30 Jan. 1874, in Salt Lake City; six children.[8] Visited with EBW about women’s affairs and plural marriage, 5 Sept. 1874.[9] Moved to Tooele Co., Utah Territory, ca. 1874–1875.[10] Returned to Salt Lake City, Sept. 1879.[11] Appointed to the board of directors of the Woman’s Cooperative Mercantile and Manufacturing Institution.[12] Served on the board of the Salt Lake Stake Young Ladies’ Mutual Improvement Association (YLMIA), 1896–1903.[13] President of the Salt Lake City First Ward YLMIA, 1898–1899.[14] President of the Liberty Stake Relief Society, 1904–1912.[15] Visited with EBW, 20 Jan. 1909.[16] Died 18 Sept. 1931 in Salt Lake City.[17]
