Ann Mousley Cannon
Born 29 Sept. 1869 in Salt Lake City.[1] Daughter of Angus Munn Cannon and Sarah Maria Mousley.[2] Baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 29 Sept. 1877.[3] Attended the University of Deseret, 1881–1886.[4] Held various positions on the general board of the Young Ladies’ Mutual Improvement Association (YLMIA), 1891–1937.[5] Held various positions on the board of the University of Utah Alumni Association, 1893–1905.[6] Salt Lake County deputy recorder, 1897–1902.[7] Attended the National Council of Women meeting in Washington DC with EBW, Feb. 1899.[8] Represented the YLMIA general board as a delegate, along with EBW, to the National Council of Women, 1899, 1902.[9] Editor of the Young Women’s Journal, 1902–1907.[10] Member of the Utah State Press Association, 1908–1912.[11] Chaired the committee that established the Bee Hive program in the YLMIA, 1913–1926.[12] Organizer and board member of the Utah Art Barn, 1940.[13] Helped to organize the University of Utah Emeritus Club, 1943.[14] Died 9 Nov. 1948 in Denver; buried in Salt Lake City.[15]
