Agnes Stewart Campbell

8 November 1860–19 February 1942

Born 8 Nov. 1860 in Salt Lake City.[1] Daughter of Robert Lang Campbell and Mary Stewart.[2] Baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 4 Nov. 1869.[3] Served as president of the Salt Lake City Fourteenth Ward Young Ladies’ Mutual Improvement Association (YLMIA), 1888–1895.[4] Served as an aide and later as assistant secretary to the general board of the YLMIA, 1890–ca. 1940.[5] Served as president of the Salt Lake City Twentieth Ward YLMIA, 1898–1901.[6] Worked in the office of the Zion’s Cooperative Mercantile Institution, until 1899.[7] Attended building committee meetings with EBW to discuss funding for a women’s building, 1900–1903.[8] Served as business manager for the Young Woman’s Journal, 1905–1929.[9] Died 19 Feb. 1942 in Salt Lake City.[10]
